Review summary

The cruise was nice as just a small getaway for us to celebrate our anniversary. Very much disappointing compared to Celebrity which we usually cruise. The night that our anniversary was to be celebrated, the wait staff lost my sea pass. They did get me another pass after I told them that I would not go to service desk. Gave me a free glass of wine. But our day was never celebrated. I was our 54th so how many more will we have? I was disappointed. The next day a plate of chocolate covered strawberries showed up in our cabin as an apology. That was a nice gesture. Also, it is nothing but greed on the part of the cruise line to charge for drinks while gambling. I saw many at the table drop $400-$600 ,my self included and we still had to pay for a couple of drinks! So overall, the experience was just ok. This ship is great for families with children but not for an older couple wanting to just enjoy, music, food and entertainment.

Embarkation

Terrible. Could not find room as did a few others. No one around to help us to our room. Finally, found a crew member who took us to our room after twenty minutes of walking around. We were on the other side of ship and this floor had no hallway through. Had to go up a deck or two to get to the proper side in order to go down to the floor assigned and find our room! This is totally unacceptable!

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin steward was great. Room was clean and orderly. Shower door was cracked in three places. Upon arrival, we had no tissues and the hand towels had a whole in it. Material on wall was ripped.

Ship tip

Great for families with children. Not a ship for an older couple. Music was so loud that it was not enjoyable. Children running and jumping down stairs, etc. shows were great.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

My husband has PD and the walk from the ship to the area of shopping or even catching a taxi was way too far. I’d guess at least a half mile walk from where we were docked. Asked about a cart or. Tram to take us off pier-they had none. So consequently, we did not get off the ship. P.S. my husband does not need a wheelchair as he can navigate pretty well but the walk off the dock was challenging for any older person especially in the extreme heat!

The easiest I have ever had!

Are you saying the lifts didn't stop on your deck? How could you not get from Port to Starboard on your deck? I think you're wrong there my friend.

I agree that Celebrity can be a better option. RCL now tends to focus on families with kids, mega ships, and travelers with diamond status and higher. I think it wonderful that there are variety cruise lines so we can pick a cruise line with the itinerary that best fits the needs our needs. So sorry your trip was not what you hoped for. Happy Anniversary!
