Four nights is too short, but the Independence of the Seas is great.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We scheduled a 10:30 check in and we were through bag drop, boarding pass check, and security by 10:45. We were on the ship prior to 11:00 and ordering a drink by 11:10.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Menus had good variety and the food was delicious. We didn’t eat at any specialty restaurants on this cruise, which is all we normally eat at. The MDR has made me rethink the added expense of specialty.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools were crowded but had plenty of opportunity for anyone to enjoy pool time.

Entertainment

Ice Show was great. Grease was excellent.

Disembarkation

Self carry off our luggage was a first for us. We had somewhere to be and didn’t want to wait on block times. The short four night cruise didn’t require much luggage so it was easy. We were loaded in our car in the parking deck by 07:30.
