Review summary

Whatever has happened to make RC believe that cutting Coco Cay and Nassau short needs to be reevaluated. Not cool! I would take this cruise a few times per year, but I’m not waking up at work wake-up times to hurry off the boat and that means I might as well just stay on the boat. Please go back to a full “Perfect Day” it’s not far enough from Coco Cay to Nassau to justify being back on the boat at 4.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quick, easy, efficient.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Tough to get a reservation for a desired table, but food was good with plenty of options.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools, hot tubs, and ping pong was fun. I wish some of the activities like the wave rider were included in the cost of the cruise- I would’ve liked to do that.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedy show was lame but the Grease production was very well done.

Children's Programs

Didn’t bring kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Michel, our room steward, was fantastic! Other wait staff was all very good.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is big, we’ll laid out, and both clean and maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were very pleased with everything about the room- can’t think of anything that would improve it.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Canaveral was east to navigate from parking to boarding and in reverse.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Coco Cay was great… except that we had to back in the boat at 4:00!! I’m the past, it was 8:00. We didn’t have nearly enough time on the island and felt kinda ripped off.

Nassau, Bahamas

2 out of 5
Back on the boat by 2:30?!! Good thing we didn’t pay for an excursion! We barely got to buy souvenirs and get back on the boat. No beach, no food, no drinks… spent almost as much time getting off the boat and back on as we did in Nassau. Not cool.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Absolutely smooth

Never good to have a port of call cancelled or cut short, I think if they were to fully explain the rational it would help

Flow rider is included in you cruise fare unless you want private lessons.

We were on the same cruise as you and loved every minute of it. We were off the ship at Cocoa Cay about 8 am so we had more than enough time to have a great time. Maybe the tides were somewhat of a consideration in the departure time. Freedom was there with us and departed just a few minutes after we did. One time off the ship in Nassau a couple years ago was enough for me. We always stay on board by the pool on the Nassau day and make good use of the alcohol package but since we live on the beach, it isn't a great loss to miss any beaches over there.

I wonder if future cruises will push you off on departure morning without even offering a breakfast. It is hard to accept the New Normal.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise.

Probably cost cutting measures. Unfortunately, Covid is still pandemic, just not as deadly anymore with vaccinations and qualified staff is still an issue. Be some years I think before things might be ‘normal’ again.
