Review summary

This was our first cruise! We really had a wonderful time… First of all the people are so nice and helpful. Then the food was delicious and always available somewhere! There was plenty to do to keep us busy and we also took plenty of naps! Didn’t love Nassau, but CoCo Cay was great! The entertainment was fun! This is a beautiful ship, smaller than some others that were in port with us, but I loved it and would definitely recommend it.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in the main dining room all 4 nights. The menu was full of options and everything was delicious! The service was amazing! We ate breakfast at the buffet every morning and WOW! There was so much food! It was a lot more crowded and finding seating was a pain, but the food was great! I wish they had specialty coffee available there.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool and the sun-deck. We attended BINGO night once also. That was fun and I was winner!!!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Most of all we enjoyed the broadway show and the comedian act.

Children's Programs

We had no children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the people were over-the-top nice. They wanted to get to know you and went out of their way to make conversation and make sure you are happy.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was extremely clean. It was constantly being cleaned as well.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Other than the pillows… not like mine at home… the bed was comfy, the cabin was spacious, the bathroom was small but big enough. I LOVED having the balcony!!

Ship tip

Just spend a little time walking around to familiarize yourself with the different venues and where they are located. We are not big drinkers so the bars were not on our places to visit, but there are plenty of them and they have different types of music so scope out what you want to do. Definitely read the Cruise Compass every night and decide what you would like to see or do the next day.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

We got on-board here and left to drive home at the end of our cruise.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
I did not love Nassau. We did an excursion on a bus ride. It was supposed to be 2 1/2 hours and it turned into 4 hours. I would not do this tour again…maybe opt for the glass bottom boat excursion instead. Also the walk from the ship to the port was very LONG. I’m healthy and did not mind, but I saw several older, heavier people who were struggling significantly with this walk. No trolley or golf cart rides were offered… going or coming back to the ship. One elderly lady -with a walker- fell out on the concrete pier and they had to call for help. I saw another elderly man with a cane leaning on the edge of the wall waiting for help. It was sad to see so many people struggling and no rides offered.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
It rained the morning of this port. But by 12:00 the sun came out and the people poured into CoCoCay. We finally found 2 chairs together and were quickly greeted by the bar person. We stayed and relaxed on the beach for a while and then decided to check out the pool. It was packed and there were NO chairs to be found there. We also were not a fan of the loud, rap music being played there. We opted to head on back to the ship. We did not take part in the Thrill water park. We are older and past the time of enjoying something like that… however a lazy river would have been amazing!! (Hint, hint). There was a tram ride from the ship to the park and on the way back to the ship there was a long line. We decided to walk and it was a nice, short, easy walk back. Not at all like the walk into Nassau. If we ever visit CoCo Cay again, I will rent the beach beds. That is the way to enjoy the sun and the water and the shade all together.

Disembarkation

It was pretty easy! We had a little bit of a wait getting across the bridge-way thing, but it was single file and a lot of people trying to get off the boat. The line was moving constantly and once back in the port, it was a quick walk to the parking garage and on the road to home.
