LOVE Independence. One of the best ships and itineraries out there. HIGHLY recommended.
Embarkation

Canaveral is one of the easiest cruise terminals to navigate. Never any problems and RCL has streamlined their process even more.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
This time around we did the MDR for dinner and Windjammer for most other meals. As always it was great; however, there were no bananas or olives on board at all. Like much of the world, supply chain issues have hit RCL. Besides that, the food was good as ever, service was fine and really can't complain at all.
Onboard Activities

Pool was great - fun, relaxing and filled with music/positive vibes. While we spent most time on the pool deck or in the casino, on past trips we've done it all. The ship has a great range of offerings to take advantage of - so be sure that you do!
Entertainment

Didn't see the shows this time around but the musicians in the various locations (bars, promenade, poolside) were great. In the past, the main shows were awesome as well.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I can never say enough positive about the crew. This was my 13th sailing with RCL in the past 5 years and I have never had a bad experience yet with a crew member. Compared to other cruiselines I've sailed on - I can't say the same for them. RCL crew is great. They really help make the entire experience so much better!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
One of my favorite ships. Not too big. Not too small. Easy to navigate and find your way around. Want coffee? Just a brief ride/walk to Café Promenade. Want to hit the pool? Head on up to it and grad a seat. Always clean and comfortable.
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved it. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. The bed is decent - as can be expected. Pretty standard size and layout. Can't complain about it - space to store stuff, balcony to sit on and bed to sleep in. For the amount time spent in the cabin, it's great.
Lots of construction and shortened day there so we stayed on board this time around. In the past though there is plenty to do if you've never been there before. Check out those excursions.
