Review summary
We had some highs and lows on this trip. We learned a thing or two about cruising. Wish I would have brought more dress up clothes and nicer shoes as the last night people dressed nicely and I had to wear the same dress twice. My daughter turned 21 on this trip. She was a minor after we embarked and she needed to change her status in the middle of cruise, which was a hassle. She was upset when no one believed she was old enough to buy drinks even after her status was changed. She had to prove her age with her military ID over and over. There was nothing special offered for milestone birthdays. The karaoke bar was so small and they didn’t have more recent songs on the menu. Not even a great staging area for karaoke. We also learned that the restaurant’s close up early so be prepared if you want a late night snack. The drink station was out of ice in both machines. We thought Royal Caribbean was an upgrade but Carnival is just as good if not better. Maybe it depends on the ship? Coco Cay was the best experience but maybe we have to do more cruising before we decide on loyalty.Embarkation
