Review summary

this is our 4th cruise on Royal caribbean in the last 12 months (one on Navigator 2 on Explorer and this one) and Independence is so far the worse RC ship we have been on . Stock levels in bars were terrible ,we could not get John Smiths until i complained to the beverage manager and they Miraculously found some , most of the bars did not have fresh lemon for our Gin and we had to hunt that down . above all it was our first and last cruise on Independence and i hope Anthem is better next year

Main Dining room (My Time ) excellent variety of food and always piping hot , Windjammer only used it for getting a roll a lunch but always a great variety up there

Pools always Busy and loungers saved ( despite notices asking people not to do it ) selfish people

entertainment team were the worse we have ever experienced on Royal Caribbean , Cuddy the cruise director we hardly ever saw , game shows were very poorly run and the quiz was barely audible if the irish guy was was asking questions. Some of the entertainment team game shows were so bad very few people entered .Professional shows were good, apart from a comedienne that was supposed to have appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe , he was absolute rubbish .the highlight of the cruise entertainment wise was Bobby Davro it was a great show both the early show and the adult only show

Waiters and Bar staff were excellent , room stewards seem to be cutting corners and the sheets on our beds were not changed and i had to ask for them to be done ( i should not have had to ask)

worse cabin we have ever experienced on a cruise ship , Lights broken,no cold water in bathroom, safe did not work,valance on bed ripped and screwed up . dirty underwear and socks found behind a draw(I kid you not )
