I don't mean to be a snob but after going on two Disney cruises there if no comparison. Not sure we'll travel Royal again. May just save up and do another Disney. Worth the money.
Embarkation

Very orderly no complaints.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Food was average. A lot of the staff were newbies and often seemed confused. Very nice however. One night we had a worm in the berry parfait. Showed the staff and he asked for our room number. Never received anything...maybe they brought us the worm!
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Not a lot to do. Pools were crowded as usual. Some adults got in hot tubs and stayed for hours. We did a scavenger hunt and origami craft. Not much going on.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
Grease was performed well but at 7 pm not a kid friendly show. The Disney production was ok. Female comedian was gross. Again, 7 pm should be more family oriented.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
Opened at odd hours. Staff did not know how to control unruly kids. Worst thing was no way to communicate if your child wanted to leave our got sick or hurt. They said they would call your stateroom. Not sitting in stateroom. Poorly done.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Again, waiters were nice but newbies and often didn't understand request. Room steward was very nice. Cleaned room well.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Most areas clean. Shocked as we were told this ship had been refurbished. Very worn in most common areas.
Cabin / Stateroom

Room was okay. For three adults and one child it was manageable. Would like to have had the curtain divider go all the way across for more privacy.
I’ve never sailed Disney—no desire to cruise their line— but our daughter has, and she has been just fine with other lines after that. Disney was just way too expensive for her, as a single mom of 4. I have no desire to endure the Disney experience when I want is an adult themed cruise. No Mikey and Minnie for us! Lol! I’ve sailed the Indy and the Oasis, and both were phenomenal cruises!
