Review summary

Overall, had an amazing time with my group. really the food was bad quality. not only was it bad quality, but some of the recipes just weren’t good. (my mother is a really, REALLY good cook so i’m a little tough on judging. haha)

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Got on fairly quick and was able to enjoy a delicious lunch in the Windjammer Cafe.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
i was so surprised to find not great food. everyone in our party (11 people) went to dinner feeling really hungry but came back with a still empty feeling. the food was okay. that’s it. just okay. i was sooooo disappointed that it was just okay!! the meat quality was terrible and that especially made everyone sick. literally. someone in our party threw up because of the food. (usually we eat healthfully at home so going on the cruise and loading up on fries and hash browns and ice cream and treats was not a good idea, so that was part of the problem but almost everyone in our party was having issues with the meat and other food.) Maybe royal caribbean got lower quality food so we would spend money on the restaurants, maybe it was just a bad batch of meat, who knows. i was really, sadly disappointed with the dining room. buffet was good. but dining room needs work. if royal caribbean doesn’t step up their game, they might have just lost 11 good, paying customers.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
LOVE the florider. everything else was also great!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
entertaining. i went to all of the early shows. a little disappointed that the main show, a performance of Grease, wasn’t PG because there were several kids there.

Children's Programs

no children

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Everyone was great! the only kinda lame thing was in the dining room our server seemed to not be able to understand us. maybe there was some language barrier but i always love when you go on a cruise and your server kind of becomes your friend and talks to you. this time, our server seemed strictly professional and it took away some of the fun.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
things on board were kept nice and clean. i just wish that you could get to the other side of the ship on any level. just made it harder to go up, cross the ship, and go down again.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
cabin kept nice and clean. comfortable. the only downside, it was small. but what do you expect for an inside cabin.

Ship tip

have fun!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
not much to do except swim with dolphins (very expensive and i’ve already done before) and go to the mayan ruins (a ten hour affair because it takes 4 hours to get there, then you stay for 2 hours, and another 4 hours to get back). we just roamed around and looked in shops.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
loved cozumel. we went to the beach for the day and it was nice and relaxing!!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
quick and easy. was sad to leave though!
