This ship is wonderful the itinerary is terrific can’t wait to go back think freedom class is the best

As a true MDR cruiser I broke tradition and tried the windjammer for dinner on the first nite and never looked back the food the cheeses selection were outstanding I did go to the WJ for lunch several times and it was awful every time will never do that again it’s like there were different chefs never got up early enough to go for breakfast as we are casino people and rarely get up before noon Royal needs to work on catering a little better to the casino people breakfast wise and food at different hours after all the casino brings in huge money to the ship it would be great to have a food availability 24 hours not just pizza and the promenade try the windjammer at dinner it was amazing oh by the way I heard diners talking about a 2 1/2 hour wait in the MDR. This is a review for the casino bar in a word awful the service by the floor waiters was good but the bartenders were terrible bad tempered ignore there customers don’t bother me attitude I wish I could figure a way to get my gratuity back they need to go to the schooner to learn how to tend bar right

As a casino person we love it well run with great staff but by the time the casino closes no food available plus room service charges 7.95 plus because it’s after mid nite 2.00 more all falls in line with Royals nickel and dimeing attitude that has become the norm they better be careful because eventually people will become tired of this and go elsewhere

This man in the windjammer is the model employee so kind so helpful if all the crew were like him Royal would have no competition but sadly he informed us he is no renewing his contract he has not seen his family in 9 months and he misses them dearly he was so kind to my grandchildren he must be a great father fair well my friend hope to meet again someday

This class of ship is my favorite not to big and not to small just right easy to learn the layout it’s the freedom class PERFECT ship was spotless with a little age showing here and there not a bad thing to me it’s character besides the old girl goes in for her major refit in April this year one thing I hope they do is get drink machines on board like every other royal ship not one anywhere none to be found PLUS sorrentos and every other venue on the main deck 5 the promenade had no soda drink dispenser of any kind using Fanta cans and 2 liter bottles just tacky no serve yourself anywhere I spent a lot of money and could not use it my cup is still wrapped
Cabin / Stateroom

My cabin was spotless and extremely well maintained very comfortable this was a promenade view room very nice and by luck I must have gotten the best cabin attendant on the ship Makeesh should be in the attendants hall of fame in contrast my son 3 doors away had the worst 8233
Ship tip
Just enjoy the atmosphere the ship is a classic with the freedom moving to Puerto Rico and the liberty on the other side of the gulf Indy is the only chance to try out this magnificent class of ships
This port was a lot of fun plenty to see and do did not eat here wish I had dolphins acrobats VERY CLEAN the usual nfl souvenir junk but look closely you can find treasures all the silver places were ridiculous on there prices even with bartering long walk to the ship
I love coz easy to bargain always get my item for or very close to what I want to pay fo it found this little cafe this time very nice had nachos GREAT and so reasonable very friendly I have been to this port a lot but always look forward to going back and now that I found this cafe ya man I’m in
