Food and Dining

The washy washy thing gets real old. That said, I must say these guys try hard singing same thing over and over. So...Bravo! I can say I did Not enjoy any of the food on this ship. None. I was going to try specialty and was warned it was no better than main dining. The buffet was not ok but at least I could pick the food and didn't throw away as much food. I hate waste unlike some.

Ship Quality

Needs the renovation it is getting. Very sad they are getting rid if the most gorgeous stairs in a really cool club for more rooms.

Independence was just updated last year, but I guess that you didn't see any renovations...

I was being kind about the food on Independence. There is no comparing it to NCL or Celebrity food. Food is subjective if what you crave is a variety of cold, tasteless, tough, and overcooked. Everyone finds their way to 🛳. Our best experiences have been on the smaller ships with less activities for children.

Food is very subjective, but we have cruised several times with Royal Caribbean and have always thought the food had a wide variety of choices and excellent quality. Banquet or buffet quality is about all you can expect when they are feeding thousands of people three meals a day for weeks at a time.
