Review summary

Loved the ship, entertainment, food and facilities, however not that impressed with the ports of call. Will definitely cruise again but I’ll be more selective regarding where the cruise visits.

Embarkation

Embarkation was efficient and seamless

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room was very good, service was excellent and the food was very good especially when you consider how many people were being catered for at the same time.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment on board was first class, there was always something going on throughout the ship. The ice show was amazing and the stage shows were straight from the west end / Broadway. The entertainment team put on a couple of great rock n roll music nights in the promenade which raised the roof!!! Entertainment on this ship is fantastic.

Same here, we loved Independence and although we enjoyed our time in port, we weren’t thrilled with either port (Cozumel and Belize). We did a city tour in Belize and our tour guide was fantastic, the tour was both interesting and informative and the lunch there was great, but we said that if we ever go back we’ll do an excursion. We just did our own thing in Cozumel. The shopping is great if know where to go, and we got some good souvenirs, but I’d only look forward to going back for the vanilla. I’m a baker and the vanilla their is unlike anything you’d find here in the states. Our next cruise we chose for the ports, more so than the ship. Allure is fabulous, but the ports really made it a wonderful vacation. St Maarten, St Thomas and Nassau.

Do a med cruise. Better ports to visit. Hopefully plenty of sunshine and a few sea days for relaxing.
