Review summary

My favorite part of the cruise was dinner with my friends every night.  We were there celebrating our 50th birthdays and our servers were phenomenal.  Such wonderful people and so attentive. If we didn't like something they were right there noticing and asking if we'd like something else.  I've never been treated so well.  The staff was exceptional all over the ship.

my one disappointment was the food.  I've always heard how wonderful the food was on a cruise and I didn't find that to be the case.  There was a couple soups that were delightful. Other than that the steak was a let down. You could only order Medium rare or medium well and it came well both times.  I had the Pork special recommended the first night and it was very dry.  I did enjoy the scallops that were served.  I know several people that cruise and have been told how wonderful the food is and to expect to gain weight.  I was disappointed in the food.

The shows were wonderful!  Entertainment fantastic.  Loved that room service was available and I could have coffee and fruit brought to my room every morning to enjoy it on the balcony.  That was lovely.

I was very disappointed in the food. I've always been told how wonderful the food on a cruise is and that I'd come back having gained 5 lbs. The food was not impressive. You could only order steak medium rare or medium well and when ordering med. rare it still came well. I ordered the recommended special the first night, pork chop and it was dry and not good. I did enjoy the scallops that were served further into the trip. The soufflé was also yummy.

We've experienced the gamut with food quality amongst the ships. MDR is not very good in general. Smaller ships have impressed us the most. If I were still in school, they'd have to grade on a scale when it comes to MDR food.
