Review summary

The cruise was very good with excellent food and services.  I really enjoyed the Ice Skating Show and the other shows as well.  The room was very comfortable and the view was excellent.  The check-in for the cruise at the port was fairly good, but the departure was a nightmare with long lines, long waits, and extremely crowded and hot conditions.  This needs to be improved before I take another cruise on Royal Caribbean.

We don't leave until September of 2017. We are moving this year. We are planning the Mediterranean cruise Then a South Pacific cruise. Then a Baltic cruise. Can't wait

I agree with you idcrane01 we have seen this ourselves as I have said the customs have a job to do and they follow the rules ,I do feel sorry for them when they come across people with a bad attitude . We are cruising this year again counting down now 132 days to go when do you go ?

The problem is not just customs the problem also is the inexperienced cruiser who is not prepared when they get to the custom officer and don't have their paper work or starts arguing with the officer. One or two of those backs everyone up! I've seen it. It's generally not the cruise lines fault.

Don't blame the cruise lines it is the customs and they are only doing their job and checking everyone's luggage properly . Every cruise line goes through the same procedure . Patience is a virtue so if you haven't the patience to wait for other passengers luggage to be checked by the customs officers don't bother going cruising . Just think SAFETY enough said .

Yeah the problem is customs not the ship line.

Which cruise line has a better/different system? I would be interested in that also. Have done Royal, carnival, princess, Costa, all pretty much the same issues.
