Review summary
We enjoyed the ship and the staff, especially the Schooner Bar evening staff and our wait staff at dinner. My diet is strict and calls for gluten free food and Floyd made sure my dinner was selected early and prepared just right. He and the assistant waiter, Adam, went above and beyond to make sure my needs were taken care of and they did an excellent job each night with out group.
While in Belize we found out my husbands mother was being moved to hospice care and that without the perfect flight options from Cozumel we wouldn't get home to see her again. We boarded the boat from Belize earlier than planned to try and set up some type of communication to home while at sea. Kilver Hernandez at Guest Services assisted us and helped us with complimentary calls home from our stateroom for the remainder of the trip. He also let us call AT&T to set up text messaging and made sure we had everything settled quickly. He didn't ask questions and was very compassionate as he could tell we were upset.
We couldn't find flights home and had to finish the cruise. The staff that we shared it with were very nice and compassionate. We decided we would not cruise with anyone other than Royal Carribean and have told everyone since of your hospitality and concern for our family. Our loved one did pass on Tuesday and that was a very sad and difficult day for us. However, we were comforted and able to assist our children and family in our absence because of your staff and their concern for us as your passengers. This made our remaining time on the boat more peaceful and efficient with details we had to attend to at home.
From our family to Kilver and the entire staff we dealt with, we are sincerely appreciative and thankful. Your service does not go unnoticed.
We look forward to cruising again on Royal Carribean and we will continue to share your efforts and excellent service with others.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
