Review summary
Sailed on Independence for the first time, having sailed on Freedom and Liberty this seemed like a great idea. The ship was clean and well maintained.
The food was pretty much the same as on other ships. I ordered lobster in Chops one night...really large lobster and really good.
As this cruise was a gift for my sister in law we really hoped she would love her first cruise, she has some issues getting around and we realize that this size ship was not for her, however she did enjoy it.
The worst part was taking our luggage down three flights of stairs!
We always do the express off and never have we ever walked our luggage down stairs, very dangerous, unorganized, it was awful. I will never use express off again if this is the new thing for Royal Caribbean ships. Sailing on Harmony in November, we shall see.
