Loved the cruise, but there are improvements that could be made.

Review summary

Royal Caribbean is fabulous.  We had a great time.

Just going to point out a couple issues we had that never happened before.

Our room steward was lazy.  Did not pick up used glasses for days.  Asked for ice to be in our room daily.  We had to remind he every day.  We left remote to TV on the floor near the sliders to our balcony.   It was still there on the floor after he "cleaned" the room.

Entertainment was disappointing.  The Once Upon A Time musical, made no sense and people, including us were leaving.  Another night it was a violinist.  Yup, a guy playing the violin.  Not the kind of entertainment we want to see on a cruise.  Maybe in one of the lounges it would be okay.

None of these detracted from the fun we had, it was just a little disappointing and unusual for Royal Caribbean.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Buffet was good. Main Dining Room was fine except they missed on the temperature of our steaks many times. The specialty restaurant food was outstanding.

Violinist as a headliner? Not on a cruise. The Once Upon a Time musical was, well, weird. We left both of these shows. We expected more.

Service and Staff

Juliette Rowe, she check us in at the terminal and was a bright smiling face and full of information. Got us off on the right foot. That is the kind of person you want to meet just before getting on the ship. Our Waiter Collins and his assistant Werner in the main dining room were great. Also, Mimi in Giovanni's made our time there fun. Lots of energy and fun. The only thing that stops this from being Great, is our room steward. Rueben Mason.

Ship Quality

Nice Ship. Good size ship but it plays small. Easy to get everywhere. Promenade is great.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Worthwhile spending some time here before or after the cruise.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Stingray City on the catamaran was great.

Falmouth, Jamaica

Excursion was great to Dunns River Falls and Pearly Beach. I give a lower grade just because the island is poor and there is a lot of security and gates, which indicates crime, which makes us nervous.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Zipline was great. Beach was very rocky. Water was not clear.
