Review summary

Overall, the cruise was good. First time on this class of ship. Would probably do it again in the future, but we are a fan of the smaller ships.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Terminal 10 in Galveston is an easy embarkation port overall. This time, we embarked via the suite/Pinnacle line. So smooth. So easy. Beautiful waiting area... If you choose to wait. You go through. Someone comes to you to check you in, then you head right to the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Onboard Activities

The sushi making class was AMAZING!! You make so much food. Definitely need to come hungry. The guacamole class was amazing, too. Not only do you make guacamole, you get a full lunch with dessert and margaritas!! The cupcake class is fun for little. On Air was not a good location for activities. I was often overflowing. The carousel, Abyss, and archery competition were fun.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Grease was kinda the words. It was OK... Don't be sad if you miss it. The 1887, again OK. Fine Line was amazing. We were in the suite seats so we had an amazing view. If you get there early enough, sit in the splash zone. Columbus was super cute... Totally not what thought it would be about. The comedians for the week were performing like they knew they were getting off that week. Not funny at all.

Children's Programs

We traveled with kids. We did check out AO but only went there for the puppet show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Coastal kitchen is where we had all our meals. It was the best!!! That is all!! We also had the best room attendant. Love that our room was always attended to. Suites rock!!

Suite 9244 was AMAZING. The only low was the internet was spotty in the room. 😔

Ship tip

I encourage cruisers to do their research and learn as much as they can about the ship prior to sailing. Read reviews but don't miss an experience because someone else may have a strong opinion about something. I also encourage cruisers to have an open mind. Go into the cruise ready to have fun and relax. Be kind!

The Best Western on Seawall is the vest. We have stay there 4 times. The beach makes for a good photo op. Lots to check out pre- or post-cruise.

Playa Mia was amazing the 4th time around. This time we booked via a 3rd party company. The beach was not crowded. Staff very attentive.
