It was fun, but a bit confusing about where things were.

Review summary

I liked the cruise, the only drawback for me personally was the lack of user friendly maps. They rely heavily on their app. That works if you have a smart phone, but we had an Ipad and that's not fun to carry around all the time. It was difficult to find exactly where things were because you had to go outside you stateroom to find a deck plan and then to determine what level things were on. If they had an index with names of places it would have helped. It's a large vessel and spent too much time trying to find things. By the end of the cruise we had a pretty good idea, but a basic map would have been a tremendous help. Guess I'm just old school. The bartenders seemed to be tired a lot and not real engaging. Most did make good drinks though. Overall it was a nice trip, just not a great trip. Usually I feel very relaxed from a vacation, but this one left me feeling like I was missing something. It could be it wasn't the right cruise for us. I did enjoy the interior open areas for going for walks, especially deck 8.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the food and drinks with very few exceptions

Cafe Promenade

5 out of 5

Got addicted to Iced Bourbon Mint Lattes. Even when there was a line the service was very quick and the staff got to know me by name...lol. Nice little place with great coffee.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Didn't try a lot of them, but did not have a problem with any of them. Rough seas kept some of them closed at times

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved the shows. There were none that I did not like. Definitely a lot of talent in them.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Always a treat to be waited on. The waiters were so accommodating and enjoyable to be around. Our room steward was always in and out without our even noticing, just knew he was there because things were straightened and cleaned.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The cleaning was continuous

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Enjoyed our room. It was roomy and so relaxing to be in. Had space for all our things without feeling crowded.

Ship tip

Bring a good pair of walking shoes...this ship is very large.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

So windy, much of it was closed. Also the BBQ was just a BBQ, nothing special. Hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken without a lot of fanfare. Food on the ship was so much better.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico Did not visit port

Seas too rough to port there

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Took one excursion and the people were so friendly. Would like to explore more of this place.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Busy port, but normal for the other places in Mexico I've visited. Once you got away from the bustle it was relaxing and learned so much. Would like to go back to see more of it.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
There were lines to begin with, but there were times without any lines at all. Very fast transfer off the ship.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. They also had good bands playing on deck 8 at Dazzles.
