Review summary

In all we have taken 2 family cruises on Harmony of the Seas. We usually try different ships each time but wanted to repeat on this ship as we felt it had so much to offer each age group. You will not be disappointed choosing Harmony.

Food and Dining

We were suite level and had all our meals except ,3 specialty restaurants, in Coastal Kitchen.

Izumi

Second year trying Izumi and a little disappointed. The dining experience took 2 hrs to complete and a little too slow for a family with young children. Also wait staff forgot some of the extras that were ordered. The actual chef “show” was wonderful and very entertaining. Food was excellent also. Would recommend for lunch rather than dinner.

The best perk of having a suite level cabin. Fantastic staff and fabulous food from breakfast to dinner.

Onboard Activities

Grandsons enjoyed the pool areas. Both went on The Abyss and one did The Flow Rider. Really enjoyed them. Son-in-law visited fitness center and said it was fine.

Casino Royale

Enjoyed this casino. Plenty of machines to play. Only downside is I would love to have it be non- smoking.

Suite Lounge

Having this venue available for drinks or food most of the day and evening is a wonderful benefit of the suite level.

Promenade Shops

Would always love more choices but staff were always accommodating and maybe a little too eager to make a sale in the jewelry shops, but always respectful.

Children's Programs

We had 3 diverse ages utilizing the kid’s club. Ages 11 and 6 went to the clubs and made friends right away. They would later see their friends by the pools which was nice. Young granddaughter (18 mos) stayed in the baby area multiple times and we were so pleased with the care given.

Service and Staff

My room cabin Roy was so pleasant and accommodating. Always had my ice bucket filled after requesting it the first day on board. The entire staff at Coastal Kitchen were top notch. All wait staff gave 5 star service. The concierges also were excellent.

Ship Quality

This was our second cruise on Harmony and we thoroughly enjoyed this ship and the design. After a day or so we were able to navigate it easily. As far as cleanliness I cannot say enough. The staff was constantly wiping down common areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had bid on an upgrade and accepted the upgrade to an Owner’s Suite. The cabin itself is fantastic. Large living and dining area. Multiple closets and storage. Balcony had 2 lounge chairs, 2 regular reclining chairs and a dining table with 4 chairs. Thinking it was triple width than a regular balcony. The only downside is that this level is below the pool deck floor and in the morning would hear I presume staff moving the deck chairs etc.. I am an early riser but would not choose level 14 again if given a choice.
