Review summary

This cruise itinerary provided great sea days and port of call, and time to enjoy the ship’s amenities.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
There was a mixup with passport ID’s that caused a delay.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We dined in Coastal Kitchen all but one evening, we chose Chops, our favorite speciality restaurant for the remaining evening meal. We also chose to avoid the Windjammer for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed the selections and the quiet uncrowded Solarium Bistro for breakfast and Minibites for lunch.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We spent sea days lounging at the pools, although it was sometimes difficult to find chairs around the pool because of “saved” chairs. The bar staff were very attentive and the drinks were good. The children enjoyed the water slides and the youngest enjoyed the kiddie pool and slides.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We attended only the aqua water show which we very much enjoyed. On other sailings this show was cancelled due to weather conditions so this was the first time we saw it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward kept our room very clean. We were diligent about leaving the “out” sign on our door to let him know when he was able to tidy and clean. The staff in the Coastal Kitchen was very attentive. We were dining with a toddler and they were very helpful and friendly to us.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. On some cruises “out of order” signs were on sinks and toilets, but I saw none on this ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the suite life. The size of the bathroom is luxurious! The only complaint I have is about the pillows—either too soft and flat or too hard and big.

Ship tip

Take time to explore the ship and to experience all the dining options.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
We have been to this port many times, so took the opportunity to visit our favorite rum retailer and then rented chairs and an umbrella on the beach near the water taxi dock.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Have spent time in this port on other cruises, so spent time visiting bar and restaurant we were introduced to on food and cultural tour.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
This was our first time to experience Perfect Day. We reserved cabanas on Chill Island and had the best day ever! Drinks and lunch were delivered to us. Swim mats, snorkel equipment were available to us. Towels, a cooler, a locker, and cold water were provided. The beach was great for the younger kids and we enjoyed the ocean without experiencing crashing waves. Schools of fish swam around us as we stood in the water. Also a great place for those who snorkeled. the weather did not permit excursions, they were all cancelled, but we had enough to do to make up for that.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We had time for breakfast in Coastal Kitchen and then walked off the ship. We used valet for our luggage so had no luggage to drag around or collect before our trip to the airport.
