Would do this cruise again in a heartbeat. Everyone had a good time. Use the app to schedule your events and stay in touch with family on ship. Very easy.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We self carried our luggage. Was a very smooth process. Took about 15-20 minutes to board ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We ate in the main dining room for dinner. Had 5:00 dining time. Worked great every night. Needed to be at your table by 5:30, nice that you didn’t have to be there right at 5. We thought the food was very good. Our waiters were always willing to bring us something else if we didn’t like what we ordered. Tip: ask about the chilled soup every day. They are not on the menu but available
We also are at Wonderland. It was an amazing meal. Shubert took fantastic care of us.
Loved the ice cream on level 15. DS ate at least 2 every day.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the abyss slide, flow rider, trivia. On the last sea day they had an activity that was a puzzle break in On Air. It turned out to be like an escape room. Would definitely recommend it.
We used the water slides. The blue and yellow are pitch black, so kind of scary. Make sure you get a good start so you don’t get stuck.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
This is a mixed review. Some would get 5 stars others 3 stars.
Grease was really well put on, but hate the storyline and the sexual innuendos.
Same with Columbus. Kind of a fun story but the sexual innuendos were uncomfortable and my kids would agree.
Both ice shows were great
Fine Line was amazing.
Headliner show was really good
We really enjoyed the family comedian show on the last night.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Dining staff was great and our room steward was excellent.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
For how many people were on this ship, it actually didn’t feel crowded. Muster drill was the most crowded I felt all week.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had two cabins next door. 8701, 8699. Nice to have connecting cabins with kids.
8th floor was quiet and it was nice to access Central Park easily.
Ship tip
Book shows in advance. Be aware that the 3rd week of January was yeshiva week. Solarium bistro was closed and not available
We stayed on the ship for the morning, then went snorkeling at bubba gumps. We are novices at snorkeling at this was a great easy way to introduce it to our children.
