Review summary

We also did the All Access Ship Tour and it is something everyone should see. The crew are amazing and to see what all they do just to make sure we have a good vacation is amazing and overwhelming! I have a whole new respect for all the cruise employees and thank them for all they do! They deserve so much more than the prepaid gratuities that we pay. So make sure you smile and thank each one you come in contact with. They deserve a smile and a thank you, without them, you wouldn't have this vacation!

Very quick and easy. Port Canaveral really has this down pat now.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
All the food on board was hit or miss. Some days it was great and others it was just OK. Dining room had great appetizers and deserts and some of the main dishes were good. Really wish they offered more fried dishes but thats just my southern preference. Lol We really loved the Solarium for breakfast. It was really quiet and peaceful and the food was quite good. The Windjammer was like eating at any buffet, it was filling and quick but really wish they had more variety. It just seemed to be the same food throughout the week at all the restaurants. The hotdog place on the boardwalk had great dogs. Mini bites was good for a quick bite also. And we enjoyed the Solarium for lunch on the days it was open. Overall, we were full everyday and didn't have to cook!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The ship has lots of things to do! We did the zipline which was fun and not more than a 5 minute wait. There are several hot tubs that we enjoyed. We also enjoyed playing cards in the game room and doing the Escape room. It was really fun and hard. We did not escape Lol

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Aqua Theater show was amazing and should not be missed. Quest was very entertaining. The DJs at the Hush party were great. That was our first time going to a Hush party and it was really fun.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our dining room waiters were excellent! We had Jorge and Louis at table 165 in the American Icon and they were super! The dining room host I cant say much good about. After having an eight o'clock reservation every night on Lobster night she told us it would be an hour wait to get our same wait staff! This should not have happened when we had reservations every night. And she was not even trying to fix the problem. So we left and missed out on the Lobster. But every other employee we came in contact with was very friendly and very enjoyable to be around. Washy Washy Happy Happy!

Ship Quality

The ship is beautiful and very clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

Good size, plenty of storage, very clean. Has an over sized balcony on the hump. Great views. Bathroom has a built in night light. Beds were not as comfortable as we had on the Freedom and Jewel but we were exhausted for all the walking and activities on the ship that I still slept like a baby. This cabin has the couch by the balcony.

Ship tip

Just relax and have fun.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

We did not do an excursion. We stayed at the Radisson at the port the night before the cruise and did their park and cruise. We used to Uber to the cruise terminal which was very easy.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Beautiful island but my goodness they need to heat that pool! The food was great and especially the funnel cakes at the snack shack.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

The port was pretty however the walkways were too narrow for the amount of people their and all we did was get funneled through with large groups of people. So we got back on the ship.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Beautiful water! Lots of construction going on in port. We did the Jolly Roger Catamaran and Snorkel and had a great time! I do recommend them! They stay with you in the water and will point things out on the reef! They even have someone out there in a kayak watching out for you too!

Cozumel, Mexico

Our favorite port! We did the Jeep excursion to Punta Sur Eco Park and it was great! Our tour guides were Nacho and Macgyver and they were awesome! After driving to the southern most tip of Mexico to Punta Sur Eco Park we got to see a mayan ruin and a crocodile habitat then we went to a beautiful beach with beach beds and hammocks which were included. There is also a little restaurant you can get food and drinks at for a charge. Great food and drinks by the way! You have the option to snorkel or just explore and enjoy the beach. After that we climbed to the top of a lighthouse which was tough but was well worth the climb. The views from the top are amazing! I would definitely recommend this tour.
