I had a great time on my first cruise. I was kept very busy with all the scheduled talks, quality entertainment, fun activities, and food choices. I definitely took advantage of the next port desk and booked my next 2 cruises. Eastern Caribbean and Alaska : Here I come!

I loved the food and decorations in the Main Dining Room. I did not go into the specialty restaurants. The buffet had more than enough choices and good food to choose from. There was plenty of clean tables and plates waiting for us.

The Acapella singing group was a nice surprise. I enjoyed their performance immensely. The musical Columbus 1889 was a hoot. The cast was great. It kept me laughing the entire time. I had my eyes wide open during the I skate show, and water Mad Cap water whodunit. The shows were worth it.

Roger, Dwight, and Bobb were the best wait staff. They joked, did tricks, and made balloons for us. We were served with expedience and efficiency. My room steward was Ramon. He made me smile every day. He left my messy cabin steward was Ramon who made sure my cabin stayed neat and clean all the time. Daisy was especially nice to me every day in the hallways.
I thought Emma, Brick and Brianna were very knowledgeable and courteous at the shopping desk. They gave very informative talks that help me choose my purchase easily while in ports. They made me feel like a friend by recognizing me and my family by name every time we saw each other on and off the ship.
Ship Quality

It was a little intimidating at first until I went to the new cruisers talk the first day. I learned my new mantra of "food in the rear" and "play in the front" to orient me. The interactive maps at each elevator also was very helpful.
Cabin / Stateroom

This cabin was very comfortable and had a lot of storage for just me. I did not even use the back couch area very much. I would like to see how small the single cabins are to compare.
Ship tip
Food in back- fun in front. Go to the shopping and learn the ship talks on the first day. Free stuff is given away.
I thought it was easy to get around and had very friendly and helpful staff. The rental car was easy to get to and took us right away to our port and was waiting for us when we returned.
I went on the Mayan Ruins tour that was great. I did not feel rushed or crowed in. The guide Edna was very easy to talk to. I would like to go back again.
I went to Gumbalina Park to see the monkeys, Iguanas, and parrots. The guide and bus driver were very courteous and informative. I enjoyed the small group of people that I toured with. I was amazed how the monkeys and parrots were friendly and wanted to be held and posed for all the tourists who wanted photos with them. I had a great time.
I went to the Mayan ruins and chocolate factory tour. I had a nice time learning about how different the ruins were to the one in Costa Maya. The guide Juan and bus driver were especially friendly and informative. Great tour.
It was very fast and easy to get through all the lines to exit. The baggage porters were very helpful in collecting our luggage and taking them with us to the rental car transport area.
