Review summary

Overall it just seemed that they were doing a lot of cost cutting on their part. Maybe to keep prices low so more people can cruise or just trying to make a bigger profit. Every time you turned around something cost extra that we feel should have been included.

Specialty restaurants had great food and service. Buffet food was okay, nothing outstanding. Had only one place to get fresh orange juice in the morning and if you wanted an omelet you had to go to only two other dinning areas that lacked in food choices. Ice cream machines were only run for a few hours a day. Just seemed like too much cost savings going on.

Overall they were entertaining if you were able to get in to one. Reservations for everything so most was filled up. Charged $2.50 for about 2 cups of popcorn.

The staff throughout the ship was outstanding. everywhere you went they were polite and helpful.

They did seem to make the rooms just a little smaller than other ships. Shower was bigger but sink was very small. Very clean.

Ship tip

Make sure and book awfull early to get reservations for shows. Plan on doing a lot of walking.

We just got off the Harmony on Sunday and you took the words right out of my mouth. We won't be sailing on this size ship again. Upselling everywhere, which was so annoying for the price we paid for our family of 6. No one told us that RCCL had changed their procedures to require reservations for shows, events and My Time Dining. Lines, lines, lines... it was just a disappointment. We made the best of if but lesson learned.

We set sail in 4 days, 1st time cruising on Royal. I’ve heard that Royal has the worst beds out of all the cruise lines. Anyone know if that’s just a bad rumor???

I loved ship. But I agree it feels like Royal sent out memo to staff to cut costs. They have a huge acquisition to pay for and it is noticeable
