the cruise was great overall! I get motion sickness and had the transderm V patch on for the first half but it gave me blurry vision so I took it off and just my luck the roughest seas came after I took the patch off so for 2 days I wasn't feeling good but the seas calmed down and I was able to enjoy my last 2 days.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
we filed onto the boat very well. our embarkation time was supposed to be 1-1:30 but when we got there at 12-12:30 we had no issues getting on the boat. It was a bit of a hassle to drag our luggage with us around the boat while we waited for our rooms to be available but they were prompt with the 1pm timing, the doors opened right away and we were able to put our luggage in our rooms and start the fun.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
the main dining room was a great place to get a steak or try something new. I tried snails for the first time. The buffet was good but it had the same foods available everyday. If you want to have a variety, make sure to visit all the different dining options so it doesn't get repetitive
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I felt like that there was always something going on to keep ourselves entertained. I tried almost every activity their was included and that was great. There really is only 3 days to try the on-board activities because the other days are port/excursion days and there is no time for on-board activities those days. If lounging in the sun isn't something you like to do or you've gotten burnt there's always something inside going on to keep you entertained
Entertainment
5 out of 5
there was always music playing or something going on even for adults. All you had to do was go up or down a deck and you'll find music. (except the solarium adult lounge, that was really quiet)
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
everyone was friendly, said hello and asked how your day was even if they have never served you before or they see you everyday.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This ship had a very unique design
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
I really liked the layout of our stateroom. The bed was at the back, the couch and TV/drawers in the middle and the door/bathroom as soon as you walk in. We were able to see they layout of the stateroom beside ours and we were very happy with the one we had.
Ship tip
get the 10 drink card if you don't plan on drinking a lot. I only paid for it halfway through and we would have saved a lot more if we got it on the first day. (we don't drink enough each to justify the alcohol package but we easily can do the drink card each).
The WOW band (wrist band sea pass card) does not work for port days (getting on and off the ship) so if you are going to get it be prepared to still need your actual seapass cards. (WOW band was $5)
we did the snorkeling excursion. We had so much fun! only downside was it went by way too fast. its only a 3 hour excursion so only 30 mins actually snorkeling and 1 hour at a private beach with open bar. the nice thing about it being a short excursion was that we could walk around the shops and not feel rushed to get back on the boat
not much to do at this port. only excursions available was "day at a resort" so we walked up and down the main area and checked out senior frogs. got balloon hats and a free shot right into your mouth.
our excursion was the single rider roller coaster and the aqua park. The roller coaster was cool but you only need to do it once. The aqua park was a good workout, I scratched my knee on a plastic seam which really stung in the salt water but other than that it was fun.
disembarkation is a very slow process. we picked the last time slot available to leave because our flight didn't take off until 7pm. we got kicked out of the buffet because they needed to fumigate so we ended up just sitting around waiting on the main promenade deck 5 until our time was called. once off the ship the longest part was waiting in line to claim anything. we didn't have to collect any bags and we didn't buy anything on the boat so it was a very long wait. they should have a separate lane for people like us. (they did have a mobile app that some people can use but we couldn't download it because we are Canadian and didn't pay for a US phone package)
