Review summary

Overall the cruise was a pleasant experience. The crew were professional, personal and pleasant. The staff of the toddler room in adventure Ocean were warm and loving to our daughter and the staff in the older rooms were engaging as well. Our kids couldn't wait to go therre and that was priceless since it opened up some much needed time for my wife and I to explore the ship or go to a show.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We were able to board early, no lines and plenty of food/drinks available as soon as we boarded. Room was ready by 1pm and luggage followed shortly there after.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was great and plenty of variety! The hibachi restaurant is a must!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Activities were endless! Especially, for children!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was as close to Broadway as you can get!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Adventure Ocean! They were great with my 2year old daughter and 5 year old son. He never wanted to leave!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Bernard and Osman were our waiters and they were amazing! Glenville was our room attendant and he did an excellent job!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship is brand new. Neighborhood design works well.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
State room with balcony/Ocean view. Room was a little cramped with 2 children and 2 adults. Very lean and modern with plenty of storage. Bathroom could use some shampoo and conditioner.

Ship tip

If you have children, make sure you schedule activities, dinner and shows around Adventure Ocean's schedule. Also, reserve your room on the front of the ship, as that is the Adventure Ocean is.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
Very close to the airport

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
RC has done some serious work here since the last time we were here in 2006. Zip line looks like it would be a lot of fun but since we have small children, we did not check it out.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Much nicer, friendlier port than Ocho Rio.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Tourist trap.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Line to clear customs was brutal. RC kept having customers that had flights to catch, cutting us.

Johowdie Call it Blasphemy but Disney cruise and their camp time didn't hold the attention of our 4yr old twin boys. Not much constructive time but more like an every child for themselves with lots of baby sitters. Lots of lines to take pictures with characters though. Looking forward to RC children's program

Have cruised Allure, Harmony, DCL Magic and Fantasy - DCL was great BUT we couldn't beg our child out of the RCI Kids Club! He shut it down every night! Loooved it There! Made for great date nights for us 🤗

Great information thanks for the review. I will be sailing Sept 9th with my 4 year old granddaughter. Sounds like she will love the kids program.

Great to hear about kid program. Cruising in 17 days with 5 yr old twins. RCC topped the Porthole magazine as best children's program. Above Disney!
