Review summary

What a wonderful way to start as a FIRST TIME CRUISER! We absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed it! Great job RCCL! This was a vacation that we all are still talking about. Although we have nothing to compare it to, we are certain that there is no need to try any other cruise line!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Did the aqua show, rock climbing, zip lining, Columbus show, pools/slides, fitness center and casino! So much to do - sorry we missed the ice skating, but will definitely explore NEXT TIME!!

Children's Programs

While I travelled with kids, they did not partake of the 'kid specific' activities

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Impeccable service - Our waitress (Marian) and room steward (sincerely want to recognize him, but his name slips my memory in this moment (Cabin # 8236 July 8-15) were SPECTACULAR - they knew us and called us by name daily. There at every moment and pleasantly willing to serve us! The service we will never forget! One negative experience with personnel at rock climbing (Philip Gavrilov - July 14th about 5pm or shortly after). He provided service with a VERY POOR ATTITUDE!! After having waited for over an hour for our kids to rock climb (due to aqua show) he barely spoke to us, threw the room keys on the counter after presenting them, displayed negativity in his persona and tone of voice - HE WAS SOOOOO RUDE that I had to ask him if he was ok. TO MY SURPRISE he responded with a RESOUNDING NO and had the nerve to elaborate and say: "I have been working in this hot sun from 8am in the morning until now - do you think this is easy" - I couldn't believe what I had heard and simply decided to walk away. About an hour later while my family and I were at Starbucks at the deck below - I saw who I believed to be a manger/supervisor (unfortunately I did not get his name) and reported my experience to him. Sadly, he came back a short while after and said the employee advised that I was being untruthful and that how could he say such a thing when he had only just arrived... the left a negative taste, but didn't allow one ROTTEN apple to spoil the bunch!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is stunning - everything well placed and boy oh boy the attention to cleanliness is to be commended.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was spacious, clean and the perfect size to accommodate my family.

Ship tip

Plan your days/time to maximize on as much as you can while onboard - the daily planner is the way to do it!

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Wish to see a bit more than just the cruise line island. Not anything much to do if not interested in beaching!

Falmouth, Jamaica

Organized our own tour of the island and it was spectacular - would LOVE to return!

Cozumel, Mexico

Organized our own tour and visited the tequila factory and myan ruins - times are so short to really venture and explore the islands
