Review summary

Ship beautiful and clean. But not the right fit for me. I have been on the Regal princess with 3,000 people and never felt crowded. I will leave the mega ships for the mega people with family.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy and fast

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Only ate main dining room once. Kids next table unruly. I had fish and it wasn't very good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools were to crowded could not even get in to them body to body. People just standing around in them drinking. Unable to find deck chairs. My 13 yr old granddaughter did not want to get into the pools either. Sadly she did not use the rock climbing walls or any other of the great things they for teens to do. Except hang out in the teens club.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows good. Aquatic show was excellent.

Children's Programs

Had no small children.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Room steward was great room always clean. He was very helpful with questions about ports.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Everything was clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Comfortable and clean good size. Very noisy till midnight it was aft ship ware the theater was so movies and aquatic show all evening till late. Not great if you like to read or sleep.

Ship tip

Don't take this cruise unless you have children. And don't mind being on a ship with 6,000 strangers pushing and shoving to get food at the buffet or want to relax.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

I live in Florida and have been to Fort Lauderdale mega tomes

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
Long hot walk from the ship to the beach. Not enough shade but during winter months this place would be great. Lots todo and see.

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
Did the dolphin encounter swim had a great time. Would have liked a little more time with the dolphins and less time going through there shops. And it would have helped if I had known to bring a credit card to buy the photos of the dolphin. You are not allowed to take any of your own photos.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Went on the snorkeling tour had the best time ever. Booked though Icruise.com Small group of about 20 the crew was great and fun. All the water soda and alcoholic rum punch you could want after the snorkeling. And then they took you to a beach that had everything you could want to do. Plus a free buffet and open bar. Bring lots of tip money these people deserve it. BOok your tours thu Icruise. Rather than the ship unless you want to be hearded around with thousands of other cruisers.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very fast and orderly. Especially if you down load your passport to the cruise line customs before getting off the ship cuts out standing on long lines. We also picked the later time to exit ship let the bulk of passengers off first.

Boot and Bonnet is our favorite location as well as Navigator and the Allure. Great viewing and middle of the action

Thanks rickierocks. He is not really an import fan- just good old American craft beers like DFH and North Coast.

Boot and Bonnet does indeed have a large beer selection. They have a great import selection but not much in the way of craft beers :(

We loved the Anthem- been on it 2x and had a great time!! We did a family cruise in July- the grandchildren were so busy playing basketball or soccer at the SeaPlex. Even my "big kid"son got into basketball and dodgeball games, pool games. It is a memory I will cherish- 9 days with my family!

cardamon    7 years ago

Thanks- maybe someone else can answer it!

cacy2550    7 years ago

We're not beer drinkers. Sorry, can't help you there.

cardamon    7 years ago

How about good craft beer? My hubby is a beer snob and threatening thus is his last cruise if no craft beers!!

cacy2550    7 years ago

@cardamon, definitely book your shows and any specialty restaurants as soon as you can. You may need to check everyday, to see when they open up reservations for your cruise.

cardamon    7 years ago

A question for my husband- do they have a craft beer pub?

cardamon    7 years ago

What a great helpful review!! Thanks!! I will book the shows as soon as available.

@cardamon, my hubby and I were on The Harmony, December 10th and are booked again for, September 2nd. Do not miss the Fine Line Aqua Show or Grease. If you're into unusual dining experiences, try Wonderland. The whole presentation is, well, wonderful. 150 Central Park is excellent, also. When you get on the ship, take the time to familiarize yourself with the layout. Read the daily compass; circle all the things you might want to do and then see where the day takes you. Do as much or as little you want, and realize The Harmony is soooo big you won't be able to do everything. Considering that there are about 10,000 people on the ship, between guests and crew, generally, we never felt crowded. The Promenade can be crowded when they have a parade or any other special event. Read everything you can about the ship. Google info about hints and secret places on board. If you have any other questions, just ask.

Good thing about cruise ships is that there are so many of various sizes and variou levels of pampering.

cardamon    7 years ago

Looking forward to my first cruise on Harmony in March. Please share some of the "must do " activities, entertainment in this ship!!

Cruiserholics    7 years ago

That's what cruising is about. Find the ship that fits your fancy. Many people pick the wrong ship and complain. RCL large ships are definitely not for everyone
