Review summary

We have traveled with RCI many times but this ship has outdone them all! The service was impeccable, the amenities excellent and the ports of call wonderful. The food, surprisingly, we give four stars. Not as varied as in other RCI ships. One problem was the size of the ship limits access to regular ports  where the town's were within walking distance.RCI  provides buses but in some cases at a cost. We only took one RCI excursion and it was good(Pisa &Lucca ) from La Special. The others were pre arranged private tours. Our only regret is not having enough time to enjoy the attractions on the ship. Only one day at sea made it hard to do all the fun stuff ! Most excursions lasted all day ,not wanting to miss anything at ports of call.

Ship tip

Formal night not so formal! Did not " dress up"once! Make show reservations prior to sailing. My time dining was great for us because we have emerald status, but make reservations ahead to avoid waiting lines. Days are long in ports so plan accordingly. Use Royal IQ.

Go to Pompeii and Capri. The visit to Sorrento and Positano, although beautiful scenery, not worth it! They are tourist shopping traps.

We decided to do the transatlantic on the Harmony with nine days at sea, so that we could enjoy the amenities of the ship. Sailed previously on the Allure, but like you, we didn't have enough time to enjoy the ship. Can't wait to board the Harmony on October 23.
