Cruise review

Sail Date: July 07, 2016

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Balcony

We loved our room and all the wonderful service, activities and food! GREAT experience! A few areas I feel they can improve upon (see below), but definitely will come back! My girls and I had a fabulous time!

Cabin / Stateroom
Loved our cabin and Marie our housekeeper. She was lovely and kept the room neat and tidy. Spent a lot of time on our balcony - loved it!
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Excellent! Couldn't have been easier.
Ship Quality
So fun to be on a new ship! Gorgeous and clean!
Destinations and Excursions
We LOVED the pizza making tour out of Naples and the Provence Lavender factory and small towns tour! We however, did not like the wine tasting. Poor tasting wine, and lots of driving. I would suggest a slightly longer day and make a short stop at a small town in Tuscany and go to a better winery or charge more and serve better wine.
Onboard Activities
We were disappointed to miss the water show on two nights - 1 based on the European Cup (no notice given to us), and then due to rough seas (understandable). We also had Grease cancelled the first night due to cast illness.
Service and Staff
Everyone was lovely. Toughest part is everyone tries to help, but may not always have the correct answer so on a number of occasions, we were sent to incorrect places, based on input from staff that was really just trying to help. Marie our housekeeper was lovely and even helped my daughter sew her dress one night before dinner - above and beyond!
Food and Dining
We loved our servers on Deck 4 and were only disappointed when we were seated in different sections despite requesting them for a few nights. Nerman and Neven were awesome. we also LOVED the Windjammer Marketplace!
