Unimpressive, Lacking Everything by Unimpressive

Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My 3rd & last cruise. Language barriers. Smoking allowed. Herded like cattle. Lack of entertainment. Unimpressive.

Fun Cruise by kthalmann

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

We had fun. You just can’t expect too much from their oldest ship. Do not recommend an itinerary with St. John, Antigua.

Fun times by globug789

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

Overall it was a good cruise. The grandure doesn't live up to its name but to be expected compared to the big new ships. It was cozy and we did have a magical time.

Disappointing by dmckay023

Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

Our previous RC cruise experience was very good, prompting us to use them again. This cruise, however, was very disappointing.

Christmas Family Trip by 1Cruising0001

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

This cruse ship is small and old. That being said the staff was amazing when it came to the room, restaurants, bars and cafes. The room attended was much better than the one we had on the harmony. Our disappointment came mainly with port staff and shore excursion staff. Lastly the ship rocks a lot as it does not have the stabilizers like newer ships. We made out well on deck 4 but there were lots of people with motion sickness patches on.

Ideal for adults. You won't regret it by indianagirl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

The staff on this ship was the best I've ever experienced. With being a smaller ship, you NEVER have to fight crowds, elevators, seating in the buffet, or shows. This ship is truly relaxing for adults.

Great opportunities for cultural, historical, and natural world experiences in a warm, colorful place! by idahomaureen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

Highly recommend the small-ship experience. The tradeoffs are less evening entertainment for more interesting ports and fewer people. If you're bothered by crowds, plan your visits to the Windjammer for less-busy times. Take time to talk to the staff and learn about their world. Splurge on Chef's Table and/or some specialty dinners. If you watch for good offers and are willing to do an ocean view room, cruising is a great way to visit other parts of the world. We like Royal Caribbean!

a wonderful cruise by Izzy71

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

The cruise was an amazing experience. It was a great first cruise to get my families toes wet. And even though they were scared of it now they want to join me on more cruises.

All right but not my favorite cruise by mariedj17

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

It's a cruise, and any cruise is better than not being on a cruise! So we had a good time. But this was our first Royal Caribbean cruise and based on this experience, we probably wouldn't cruise again. There were no *huge* minuses, but lots of little ones (cabin issues, mediocre food, overpriced/not-particularly-good specialty restaurants, mediocre drinks (especially very mediocre wine, and especially at the "chef's table" where the "wine pairing" consisted of random $15-retail wines), mediocre ship excursions). Not terrible by any means, but not amazing.

Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

This was out third time on Grandeur, we do enjoy the size of the the ship. Easier to get around, and also you get to know the staff and they actually recognize you and get to know you.

Wonderful Caribbean cruise by dogearedbooks

Overall we had a great time. I would NOT go on that class ship again as the entertainment options were very limited.

This was not the ship for a 9 day cruise by bigmikeber

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

Because the cruise lines had engine trouble and changed and removed some of the ports we should have been given a refund or credit of some kind. The ship is very boring

Was a great trip with wonderful shows. by sharic1515793

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

All excursions had local guides with lots of info but can't understand their speeches. Too much of an accent and talk fast.
