Beautiful New England & Eastern Canada by abcmcd9145313

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The ship is relatively small and in serious need of a good update and cleaning... many strange smells in the cabin hallways. But the crew was fantastic. The food was good, but nothing outstanding. For spending three days at sea, I would have expected a little more in the ways of entertainment or activities during the day... Endless trivia (which I do enjoy to a point) and art auctions (eye roll) are not all that fulfilling. Go to all the evening games, and 70s night, because they are a blast. Just not always enough of them every night. The ports were all beautiful and arriving by ship was much better than driving up there.

The most beautifulious beaches are in Bermuda by pandykakes1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

If you are a couple or solo and want to eat good food all day, relax most of the day with minimum activities to do...this is the trip for you. Leave the children at home, unless they just love being in the pool. Thumbs down for cabin #3158, four twin size beds (2 mattresses and 2 cardboards), no good movies to watch.

Great food and staff by cmwolfe30

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The staff really made the trip. For it's age the Grandeur is still nicely kept. We wish the kids club was better. The food was excellent and just wished there was more late night options.

Great relaxing time! by ProTraveler

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

A cruise was exactly what we needed for our vacation! We enjoyed that we had a good variety of sea days and port days. The ship is slightly older and you can see that especially in the room's cabinetry for instance. However, we had an ocean view room which we absolutely loved. We also enjoyed the serenity area where there is no music and you can play games, rest, or carry on a conversation without having to raise your voice over the music to be heard. This was also the first cruise we decided to not dine in the Main dining room since we had more vegetarian options in the buffet. The staff was willing to accommodate our needs in the Main dining, but we felt it was easier to go to the buffet. Absolutely loved the service we were provided there by Rodson Rebello!!! This guy is an absolute star and a valuable asset to RC! Additionally, Allan David's service was very well received. In summary, we had a relaxing time and overall great service! Thank you, RC team!

Always a good time on the Grandeur of the Seas by kaerickson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Good times on board the Grander of the Seas. Joe, one of our waiters, was motivated, attentive and detailed orientated that we never needed to ask for anything twice! Give the Joe a promotion. He also led the group song on the last night. Who knew!

Not so Royal (Ship needs to be demolished) by EverettMiles

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The Royal Caribbean brand is not well represented with this ship, the customer experience was far from Royal. We had sewage water gushing from the wall in our state room bathroom, the staff handled the situation like it occurred before and not alarming or a big deal. The staff that attended to the crisis tracked sewage water throughout the ship. Guest services was rude, had no empathy, did not represent the company well, and unwilling to appropriately provide good guest services. After several meetings with management the best that they could offer is on board spending, that was not worth our health. Do yourself a favor and find a better cruise line. #Why Disney Is Better Than Royal Caribbean.

Not a lot to do. Especially for teens, my two 17 year olds complained about boredom. We need a do over.

Bait and Switch by ajenea

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The staff, service, and cleanliness was excellent. The included dining options were mediocre at best. The coffee was horrid. The evening shows were not scheduled according to the dining room seating times so we missed most of the shows. Bermuda was beautiful. There was plenty of options right at Kings Wharf. We rented scooters at the wharf and visited a couple of free secluded beaches where we had paradise almost to ourselves. We also went on a scuba diving excursion which was excellent. The Baltimore terminal was convenient, fast, and efficient.

We had a wonderful time. Drove to Baltimore parking boarding effortless. Ship was just the right size. Pool was the only crowded space. Bermuda was beautiful. Short stop but we packed in all activities we wanted to do. I would highly recommend . by Evierose

We are from Pgh PA. This was our first cruise driving to the port. It was effortless. We had a great time. Ship crew were all very friendly. Only regret was not staying a little longer in Bermuda it is so beautiful. Thinking about doing a family cruise next year to Bermuda 🇧🇲.

Pleasant cruise by liladams

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

I enjoyed the cruise. Although our cabin reflected wear and tear it appeared to be clean. Our cabin steward was excellent, friendly and professional. The food was plentiful and excellent. The wait staff at each meal were friendly, pleasant and attentive.

Grandeur has gone downhill by jes68

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

This is the first cruise where we chose not to dine in the Main dining room because the service in the Main dining room was so poor, and the quality of the food was no better than the buffet, and the menu selections repeated through the entire cruise, with only a couple of different selections each day. It was clear they designed the dining room food and service to be substandard in order to compel people to upgrade to the specialty dining. Never have I seen so much pushing for cruise passengers to pay extra in order to get better service. Strangely, when we tried the buffet for dinner, it had the same featured menu item as the Main dining room, but the service staff in the Windjammer buffet was worlds better than the servers in the Main dining room. Park Cafe was also an excellent option for good quality food. We were also disappointed with the entertainment which ranged from bad (comedian) to mediocre (production shows). The main attraction (Bermuda) was wonderful - people are friendly and you feel safe. Royal Caribbean splits up the 25 hr visit among two partial days - go off the ship and get a Ferry, Cab, or minibus to see Bermuda - don't overpay Royal Caribbean for a shore tour. Nothing is too far away to see in an afternoon or morning, but be advised that most shops close around 5:00 and the last ferry out of St George is 5:30.

fun with family and friends. wheelchair access okay but not the best. by imbest222

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Overall the cruise was fun, we had over a dozen people with us. Lots of activities and most of the food was good. we ate mostly in the buffet. Always seemed a bit strange that the mashed potatoes were always on the opposite side of the buffet as the gravy. Chicken and pork medallions were to dry to eat. The rest of the food however was very good and there was always a great variety. Our cabin was a good size to accommodate 2 power wheel chairs. Beds were comfortable. There were a few access areas in the bathroom. I could not shower since my wheelchair could not get next to the shower bench. The toilet was too low to transfer to (had to mostly use the public ones which were fine). Our steward did supply a riser for the toilet seat but we could not secure it enough to be safe for use. The balcony had a 4 or 5 inch barrier that had little 8 inch ramps on each side forming nothing more than a speed bump. I could not use the lovely balcony we paid for. still the positives were more than the negatives in our cabin.
