Review summary

Very enjoyable cruise on a small but nice ship. Staff was great. Lots to do. With the exception of the terrible excursion booked through in Costa Maya, it was a great cruise.

This was awful. Long walk on the pier in the hot sun. No places to stop and rest. Excursion booked with United Cruises was the worst I have ever been on. It was NOTHING like what was advertised. The picture on the sign up was completely false. It was NOT a beach... just a tidal pool. Very acidic... turned my silver jewelry black. Puke green, warm, shallow water with lots of algae. No waves and no fun. The food was mediocre at best and was not what was advertised. The drinks were watered down. Lots of locals trying to sell goods. They were constantly disturbing us. This excursion was horrible!

Did an excursion with Royal Caribbean after having such a disappointing time on the United excursion in Costa Maya. Fabulous beach break! Great food and drinks. Lots to do. Water was beautiful!
