Review summary

Great cruise to complete our caribbean adventures.....the ship was very good considering its age....the locations were great. Very enjoyable .....now if we could only find a way the lower the airfare..

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was good for us with the Royal transfer from airport. Dropped off luggage then they took us straight to test site then walked onboard when results were in. Very smooth....now if only Barbados airport could get their act together it would have been much quicker(2 hours to get through-- half hour on plane waiting to deplane 1.5hrs lined up to get through customs)

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall food was good. Main dining room was excellent service. Windjammer wss typical buffet with some really good and some not so good food.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The entertainment in the theatre was ok not great....the cruise director staff were excellent at keeping people engaged. TJ was the best and kept us laughing and had great conversations. His sarcastic wit and humour was just right balance.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Theatre shows were good. Best show was Scott Record....other shows were ok but not great

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone showed they cared and wanted us to enjoy every aspect of our cruise. Our cabin steward(Daron) and maitre'd(Jigger) really did a great job to fulfill our requests...

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship is showing its age and rust showing in all the small corners...but the maintanence crews worked hard to keep it looking as fresh as they could

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was very clean just little rust at base of door.....after pad was added by Darin the bed was very comfortable. Everything worked as expected

Ship tip

The ship does not have all the activities of the newer larger ships. If you are looking for quiet classic cruise with great locations to visit this is the cruise for you.

Ports of call

Roseau, Dominica

5 out of 5
Trafalger falls and emerald pond are great sites needed bit of stamina to do climbing of stairs and paths... roads need work as they are in need of patching and repaving....if you get car sick bring your remedy with you....

St. George's, Grenada

5 out of 5
We did spice and sunshine tour....great tour for learning about herbs and spices on the spice island....nice beach too

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Beautiful island

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Due to winds(that's what they said) we could not port so it was a sea day

Kingstown, St. Vincent

Bridgetown, Barbados

Disembarkation

Very smooth and relatively painless just a little slow getting to our luggage but very good...quick getting taxi to hotel.

Love hearing good things about the Grandeur! We’ve been on 6 cruises on Lady G. Hated to see her relocate from Baltimore. We’ll be trying out the Enchantment in 10 days. Hope we enjoy her as much as we did the Grandeur. 🤞🏻
