Overall we had a great time and would sail on the Grandeur again!!!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We did a stay and cruise at a local hotel. Got to port early and walked right up to agent - we were on the ship less than 30 mins after arriving!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We didn’t dine in any specialty restaurants, just Windjammer, Gatsby and Park Cafe. Every meal was delicious and the staff was out of this world!! Our waiters Abhinav and Sherwin were the absolute BEST!!!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Didn’t find a ton of the events to our liking - ship and schedule seemed geared towards an older audience, but we knew the newer, larger ships would have more stuff to do. However we thoroughly enjoyed just relaxing and hanging out!!! To our surprise, the outdoor pool was heated so we were able to enjoy it despite the cooler weather!
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Same here as onboard activities - entertainment was more suited to an older crowd. The Super Bowl in the theater was fantastic though!!!! GO CHIEFS!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Every single person we interacted with was pleasant and eager to help. Our room steward Derrique was delightful and we looked forward to seeing “Sheriff Robert” in the windjammer every morning!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship is not brand new, you could see signs of its age but everything was spotless. Only complaint would be the smoky casino that you had to walk through to get between bow and aft of ship - or go to another floor.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Size of the cabin was about what we expected. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of closet space and drawers! We had room to spare and I was worried I’d overpacked!!
The island is gorgeous!! We enjoyed sitting on the beach relaxing - the water was too cold to swim though. The Coco Loco drink is absolutely worth the money - SO GOOD!
Nassau itself was disappointing. The city is dirty and the straw market and shops are horribly overpriced. We went to Blue Lagoon Island for a dolphin encounter and it was beautiful!! And the dolphin swim was amazing - totally worth the money for a once in a lifetime experience!!!!
Waited maybe 20 mins I’m theater and then walked off the ship with no waiting. Only about five mins in the terminal waiting for customs - grabbed our luggage and left. Easy peasy. Much nicer than trying to get out of an airport!!!
