Nice cruise and would do it again. Just make it 2 days in Coco Cay and no Port Canaveral!

We are Diamond members and got on right away. We had a special line just for us.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We've had been on the Grandeur 7 times already. This was our 8th. The food is not as good as it used to be. There are now gluten free and vegetarian dishes that have taken the place of the 5 or 6 entrees in the main dining room. I'm all for accommodating people with these needs, but don't take our choices away! The Windjammer had the exact asme choices everyday for breakfast also. The food was mediocre and not as good as it had been.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
They have added some onboard activities that do not require a payment which is nice. There are recent movies both in the afternoon and evening, they had seminars on the Bermuda Triangle, and "Mysteries of the Seas". They were both very interesting. Towel folding demo, dance classes, morning stretch exercises, and trivia galore. It was nice!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Very good this time. Comedians, singers and dancers, and NO jugglers or magic acts! Yay!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was so nice and our room steward kept our room spotless!
Ship Quality

Nice layout and very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

It was a little tight around the bed, but very clean and comfortable otherwise. Not a fan of the shower curtains that cling to you when you're wet!
Ship tip
If you're looking for a large ship, this is not the one. It is one of the smaller ships with only about 1900 passengers, but nice and easy to get all over. Still the same areas and amenities.
I can't say enough about Coco Cay! It was absolutely beautiful! They have done a wonderful job transforming the island. The fresh water pool is magnificent!! The lunches on the island were very nice, and they have trams to take you all over the island. VERY nice place!
Port Canaveral is a waste! Many of the passengers didn't even get off the ship. First of all you are in an industrial area so there isn't much there to see. You can take a trip to NASA which is nice, but the Disney trips are ridiculous. They only take you there on the excursions, then when you get to Disney World you still have to pay the entrance fee. The kicker is that you are only there about 6 or 7 hours. It's an hour drive from the ship, and we had to be back on the ship by 5:30 pm. Unless you have unlimited money, this doesn't make sense.
Charleston is a very nice city. We took a water taxi for $12 each that runs all day. We went on the aircraft carrier Yorktown, we were on a destroyer, and in a submarine. It was very interesting. We have been to Charleston twice before so we did not take any of the other excursions. It's a very nice quaint town.
You overlooked Cocoa Beach pier, Coconuts on the Beach restaurant, fishlips restaurant. Jungle Adventure & airboat rides are less then 30 minutes away .
