Our TA definitely put on us the right ship, in the right cabin at the right time of year to meet our wants for our first cruise. I can understand why people keep coming back to the Grandeur. The staff is fantastic, the ship is large enough to not be crowded and the activities are geared towards an older crowd. We got what we wanted....A relaxing and enjoyable first cruise experience. If you've got teenagers and/or want excitement and adventure, I would not recommend this ship.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Efficient and organized process in Baltimore.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

We were both extremely satisfied with our MDR meals and service. We saw no need to go to a specialty restaurant. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was crowed at times, but still adequate.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The Grandeur doesn't have some of the newest, "exciting" activities, which was fine with us. Trivia, karaoke, the adults pool area and the main area Centrum kept us as busy as we wanted.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Entertainment was ok. Shows were entertaining, but not spectacular productions.
Children's Programs
There were more walkers and wheelchairs than children on this cruise.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
EVERYONE was friendly, helpful and professional.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Grandeur is an older ship, but it has been well-maintained and is very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

The location was ideal. The balcony was large enough for two people. The bed was comfortable and large enough for us and we're used to a king at home. The living area was sufficient with a couch and desk area. The bathroom was adequate, but the shower was a bit small. We did have a small refrigerator (or cooler as some call it), which as nice to keep drink cool.
Ship tip
My wife and I are both 66 years old....we were the demographic of this cruise.
Did a snorkel trip which was ok. Reef and sea life was not as nice as we've seen other places. With the government warnings on safety issues, we did not walk into the port.
The new dock makes debarking easy. Coco Cay is truly a fantasy island, which I guess makes sense based on how much RCL spent there. we checked off one of my wife's bucked list items by going parasailing. Lots to do on the island, but we were happy at the swim up bar in the giant fresh water pool.
