Review summary

We have sailed 5 times on Grandeur now. We love this little ship. People keep telling us to try the bigger, newer, modern ships, but I really think I would be miserable among the crowds and chaos. I love that Grandeur is small enough to get to know some of the other people on board. To be honest, I also like that there aren't many children on board. I love kids, but I'm cruising to be away from them. ;)

Entertainment

We love most of the headliner shows, but are weary of the musical medley performances by the ship's (very talented) performers. The crew talent show was fantastic! The performers in the Centrum, both the band and the strings duo are wonderful.

Service and Staff

Our cabin steward, Henrique from Brazil, was wonderful! Our cabin was always tidy, but beyond that he was personable, friendly, and good humored. Mike S, the cruise director was the best CD we've ever had. We appreciated seeing more of our Captain this cruise. We have cruised with him 3 times before and saw him about and interacting more on this cruise than the others combined. That was appreciated.

We didn't see much of Frederiksted bc we took an excursion with Caribbean Sea Adventures out to Buck Island National Monument. It was wonderful! Highly recommend this company. The crew, Randy and Scott were just incredible.

Castries, St. Lucia

Be prepared if you go out of Castries to other parts of the island. The roads are constant curves and switchbacks. It's worth it, but I've never experienced that many blind curves anywhere before. The Sulphur Spring National Park is an experience not to be missed!

Ditto on all the above comments. I've earned my Diamond status solely on Grandeur. Love that ship.

I don’t know of any other ship that garners the loyalty of the Grandeur. Been on her five times, sixth time in September. Love her. Feels like our second home!
