Review summary

While everything was good on the cruise, the food on the Carnival cruise that we took last year was higher quality. Maybe it was because it was a longer cruise, but we had a lot of trouble finding things to keep us entertained on this cruise.

David, we’re on Grandeur January 24. You?

We will be going on the Grandeur in January and our expectation is that it will be similar to our experience on Vision of the Seas which was much different than our experiences on the Oasis class ships we have cruised on. For the smaller ships we have traveled without our adult children and our focus has been more on relaxing such as spending quiet time reading a book or actually taking a nap! There were a few times where we wished we had something more like the promenade that you find on the larger ships but this served to remind us that we need to periodically need to disconnect from the 24x7 need for constant stimuli and simply kick back and relax.

I’ve been on the Grandeur five times. Last year they told us that they had 250 activities on one cruise.
