Review summary

I have expressed my pleasure of being on this boat. I have also recommended it to others already. Not something I do regularly. This was the exception to me it was totally pleasant and enjoyable.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived at the port and walked through a fairly short line and were led right up to the area for giving our boarding passes and obtaining the cruise card for room and picture ID.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Walked off the boat and arrived at luggage storage and could easily identify our luggage as they had the luggage in a row with the number of the tags. An employee immediately came and offered to help and called a porter to take the luggage to the curb for us.

Great Gatsby Dining Room

5 out of 5

We had my time dining and we were with two other couples so the time we selected was 7pm. We had a table for 6 which was a bit unusual compared to seating for 2 or 4 people but they accommodated us and we always had the same excellent waiters. The service and food was far above normal for a cruise where I have experienced some poor service from other lines.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoy trivia and usually it is a lot of fun but onboard I believe there were two teams that were professional because they had no wrong answers. It just seemed strange since a lot of the questions were very obscure. It made it less enjoyable for the rest of the teams that just wanted a little fun.

Solarium

5 out of 5

I love the Solarium on a boat as the pool is warm and has minerals that help relaxation. The whirlpool is the same and though the pool was closed when I went up, the whirlpool was open. The snack bar dining area was the most peaceful place to enjoy the company of friends and snacks.

Entertainment

I don't like the fancy shows because they intfere with the dinner time or other activies.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone on the staff was very friendly and efficient. If you needed anything they responded with a smile and service. Aside from one other ship, I never saw such a well run opperation.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I loved the interior as the old wood and brass works were so beautiful. I can not think of anything I would change, it was a warm and friendly design and everyone on staff kept it clean and well maintained. Simply no complaints on this cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Well while it is a cabin on the boat, you did not feel cramped. There was lots of room for storage and our stuard kept it constantly refreshed and clean. Only drawback to me personally was the pole in the closet was a bit high for a short person like myself.

Ship tip

Sit back, enjoy the trip. The two tours we did take were excellent and fun. The shopping in Freeport and Nasau were the same as always, we stayed onboard for those ports.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

5 out of 5
Baltimore is close and very easy to access. We park the vehicle and walk into the port authority building and board. The cost of parking is not that bad as compared to other ports.

Charleston, South Carolina

5 out of 5
Very efficient re-boarding after a tour.

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Again easy to re-board the ship.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
Very easy to go ashore and walk around as the boat was right next to the shopping area.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Again, the boat docked close to the shopping area and it was easy for people to go ashore. I stayed on board as I have been there before.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
No problems, every thing was well done and there were no bad experiences.
