Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

Cabin type: Oceanview

Cabin number: 3050

Review summary

We enjoyed the entertainment. The food choices at dinner did not meet our expectations. The staff throughout the ship were very competent and nice.  Grandeur of the Seas no longer has chocolates on the pillows at night and does not have a daily paper of current events.

The cabin was smaller than we anticipated. We had a similar cabin on another cruise line which was larger.

Ship tip

The ship is due for dry dock in the spring. I think it needs some updates. The ship was full and tables at lunch and breakfast in the Windjammer were difficult to find.

One of the comments prior to yours mentioned how much they enjoyed reading their Cruise Compass left in their room every night. I can't imagine why u never got one. They are always available beside Guest Services in case u don't have one. As far as chocolates on the pillow---I haven't seen that done in ages.

Just about all cruise lines no longer have chocolates at night. Not having a daily paper is ridiculous. Are you sure it just wasn't your room steward?
