Review summary
we weren't able to make it to our last stop/port due to "high tide". We were supposed to have our final port at Cococay, their private island, but due to the waters, the tenders were unable to safely get us to there, allegedly. Understandably, the captain cannot control the weather nor the tides; however, we felt that we did have ample time to have either stopped at another port or possibly have waited longer for the tides to have calmed down. Instead we had an extra day on the ship---at sea (obviously!) which was almost nerve wrecking!! (there's only so many times you're going to want to go to the buffet line or hit the pool!!) The weather, by the way, was perfect! No storm in sight---apparently just "high tide". Which leads us to believe that if Royal Carribean had a better infrastructure at their private island in which tenders would not be needed to be used, we would have been able to ENJOY Cococay that day! So, we feel that RC could take SOME responsibility for this "loss" and could have made an effort to make amends---i.e. return us to Port Canaveral. It wouldn't have been out of the way and we still could have gotten back to Baltimore in time. Other than that mishap, I suppose the crew, service & food were all pretty good.
