It would have been absolutely perfect except for the nauseating smell on debarkation.
Our head waiter, Allan, was wonderful! He gave everyone special attention, was very professional while being friendly and accessible. His assistant remembered our special requests and “ favorites”. Every service person was professional and friendly. The performers were talented and entertaining. Service was exceptional everywhere on the ship. We hope to cruise on the Grand Princess again.

The ship is beautiful and the common areas were clean and inviting, with one exception. On departure day, as we were en route to our waiting area, a service person came onto our deck dragging an open large bag that emitted an extremely noxious odor that made me and everyone around us very upset and feeling like vomiting. Never experienced anything so horrible. I had to stop walking to put some distance between me and the person dragging the foul smelling bag. That one terrible experience has left me with an unpleasant memory of our otherwise wonderful vacation.

Very comfortable, kept spotless and neat by Edwin.
We took the crab boat excursion, it was fabulous! The stories were gripping! We saw many soaring eagles and examples of crab fishing. Very interesting and fun.
We had the mushers camp experience with the dogs. So wonderful, especially for a dog lover like me! We pet the musher dogs and cuddled the puppies, and learned a lot about the dogs.
Amazing view of the glacier. We had the balcony breakfast experience which was recommended by our head waiter, Allen, who arranged the details. It was so special! The food was scrumptious and the view was breathtaking!
It was marred by the disgusting, sickening odor which was introduced to our area by a service person dragging a large open bag behind him upsetting everyone in the area by the awful stench coming from the open bag.
We were on the Grand last October and will be again this October. Both 10 day Mexican Riviera cruises. Thanks for the great review aside from the one bad experience. We can’t wait for October.
So, you let one little thing ruin the whole cruise. I've been on 23 cruises, and that would be the least of my issues to post. That's like saying my cruise was ruined cause someone farted in the elevator. I'm only posting about this, since you made so many entries about it, yet you also said cruise was great.
