Review summary

This is a grand size cruise ship which desires the name Grand Princess; excellent Dining food and Sabatini's Italian Dining of a six course meal for $29 which is really under price for a grand, exceptional meal with a very relaxing atmosphere. Now the Coffee card is on your room key so therefore, the Coffee punch card is not offered no longer which you really can not keep up with your 15 speciality coffees you paid for. I rather have the Coffee Punch Card which I can also use on future cruises and see my uses. This is what I considered "Nickle and Diming" your cruise guest. Also, the Photo Package is $249 for all of your photos and everyone in your state room and you receive a i free Princess USB to keep all of your photos on, however, I found out that the Photo Package was $239 and $10 for the Princess USB which it was not free, again "Nickle and Diming" your guest which catching up to the other Cruise Companies.

The $239 fee is a great price for the Photo Package for everyone in the stateroom of 3 person and up to get their photo taken everywhere on the ship, embankment ports of cities and special photo spots off the ship, formal nights at all the different backgrounds being offered.

Passenger Services

5 out of 5

Some people are not honest and they know of tricks to place their expenses on cruise guest rooms by written down another guest room number and signature. This happen to me and the Passenger Services should me the receipt and I told them it was not my signature and it was removed from my expense account. Please go over your expense account 2 days before departure and the early morning of departure which I found this mistake.

Ship tip

Alaska Cruise you need to pack a medium thick jacket, hat, scarf, gloves and I selected to wear my boat shoes instead of winter boots

Ports of call

San Francisco, California

5 out of 5
This is a beautiful Port which has a lot of Ports to visit which Port 39 is the famous port with many restaurants and shops.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
I did an excursion of the Tram to the mountain which is very educational, museum, natural trails and the best general or book store I have ever visit.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
The only Western town which still have wooden sidewalks and 1879 buildings. Eat on the cruise for lunch due to the very expensive prices. Do experience the tasty caramel popcorn from two different company stores that are made in Skagway, chocolate, very high standard fabric store for quilters and notions I never have seen. I purchased a seal fur thimble which suppose to be the best and a collectors item.

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
I just experience walking on Lincoln Street and found a lovely store that sells fabric which was on sale for $2.00 a yard, transfer pencils to use with a hot iron which I never have seen before so I purchase 2 packs of a set of 2.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
I wish the ship stay in Victoria, B.C. Canada longer than 5.5 hours. I enjoyed a High Tea at Venus Sophia Vegentation Shop. I did find a Blue Sapphire Earl Gray blend tea which taste lovely with lemon.

Is the coffee card limit of 15 cups enough for the 7 days or did you have to renew it to get through the week? I think 2 cups a day should be fine with the free regular coffee in the buffet.

The nickel and dime act goes further....specialty dining was only $20 a short time ago. And even worse, if you buy that photo package online before the cruise, I think its only $200. That being said, I still like cruising Princess.

Fantastic

Carnival and Princess are under the same ownership. If you look into them both. They have some of the same quality.
