This was only my 2nd cruise and it was very different from the Caribbean. The clientele was older and that probably made the activities what they were. I would love to stay longer in Victoria next time, but all in all, a really nice and relaxing experience. The other part that I liked was the tour of Glacier Bay. To see that is amazing.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth and easy. Luggage got to the stateroom very quickly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
For the most part, the food was very good.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
There need to be way more and differing opportunities for activities. Kind of routine and boring.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Entertainment was solid. Enjoyed the shows and music especially
Children's Programs
No children for us on this trip.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff was very good. They took care of us well
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was very clean. There were just not that many differences in the different bars and areas. No piano bar or anything like that.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Cabin was good. This was the first time that I had an interior stateroom. I knew going in that they were small, but I underestimated how small. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Wish the bathroom was a little larger.
Probably would have picked a different excursion if given the chance. The eagles and totem boat ride was nice, but the "captain" is a very opinionated man who shouldn't use the boat as a soap box about welfare and drinking soda.
Must caution you. The Hawaii cruise out of San Francisco has a fantastic more mature crowd...I love the sea relaxing sea days...but if you are considering the Hawaiian cruise just prepare yourself...the Victoria stop will always be brief...any non American flagged ships must stop at a foreign port...it is an old maritime law that has never been changed...it is why the Alaskan cruises must stop at Victoria and why California costal cruises and Hawaiian cruises must stop in Encinada
