Review summary

10 days on our cruise was great. The food was good, the mini suite was somewhat clean. The balcony was beautiful but the furniture was dirty.  Room service never got our order wrong.  Bathtub still had hair in it from the previous guests.  Stain on the carpet.  Couch needed to be thrown out.  The sip and sail package was fabulous.  I highly recommend it only if you get it for free.  We went with 3 other couples and it the bar was our meeting place.  Almost like Cheers.  Great experience.  The speciality restaurants were good.  I don't recommend the Crab Shack.  I think it's a rip off.  My husband got sick and was in his room 2.5 days of our 10 day cruise.  The nurse was very nice.  Did you know that when you pay the the protection plan you still have to pay for the upfront costs and then submit to your insurance and then what your insurance won't pay that insurance comes into play.  Totally did not understand that and will not pay for that again.  Your decision.  Our travel agent knew that my husband got sick and he never called to find out about him.  I have sent him a lot of business.  Customer service isn't what it used to be.  Book directly with Princess. Grand Princess needs some up dating.  Jesse, Manu and joy are the best bar tenders .  Make sure you see them on your cruise.

Cabin was nice. Lots of noise from the vista lounge. It wasn't a problem. Carpet had a stain. Hair in the tub, couch needs to thrown out and outside chairs needs to be cleaned. Bring Lysol and colorox wipes and you will be fine

How did your travel agent find out your husband was sick on board? Did you really expect the agent to call the ship? Wouldn't that have been charged to your room?

The outdoor furniture is exposed to the environment...it needs to be hosed off...but with so many balconies and windows it is difficult to clean them in the time they are in port...if it is very bad then let the room steward know and they might be able to send a crew to clean your furnishings The insurance is mainly a life saver if something happens to interfere with your cruise...and an exceptional benefit if you need to medivac. Most health insurance will help you once your in their area...if you are away they will keep you in their prayers...but that is all the help you will get...and depending on your circumstance to get medivac might cost between 5 and 200,000...our last cruise was the first time that we took insurance ...but do your research...just like your own medical insurance...you might get a cheap policy that only pays after you pull $50,000 out of your wallet...talk to folks to see what trip insurance they found worthwhile...and what trip insurance they find a joke

Nurse and Dr. always expensive on any cruise line ship.

The dirty comments distrub me. Not like Princess. You should have insisted the hotel manager come to room and fix it all, if your steward would not fix it.
