Review summary

The cruise was great and the scenery was beautiful. Our only hiccup was during disembarkation and it cost us $150.

This was a good experience. A little confusing at the airport, but we figured it out.

We flew in and went directly to the ship. We did not do anything in Vancouver.

We liked the town, but we wish we would have scheduled an excursion. Our mistake!

Went on a bike ride and had a great time.

Skagway, Alaska

We did the all day train ride. I did not like the barbecue chicken lunch that was served. My chicken did not look appetizing, therefore, I did not eat it.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Did not do an excursion. It was a beautiful view!

Cruise College Fjord, Alaska

5 out of 5
Very beautiful place.

Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska Did not visit port

We were confused about the ending of the cruise. We did not understand how much time we were going to have.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Very disappointed in the airline arrangements that were made by Princess. We did not use a travel agent. We booked everything directly on the Princess Cruise website. We booked with 2 other couples. For some reason, my husband and I were booked on a different flight than the other 2 couples. We were all flying in to Seattle for a couple of days. Our flight left a couple hours after the other couples flights. This was not going to work for our travel plans. My husband and I had to pay $75 each for a total of $150 to change our flight to match the other people in our group. Very disappointed in Princess about this.

Glad you enjoyed the cruise and sorry you had the issue with the flights. It seems that the Cruise Lines will book the cheapest available flights, so if your reservations aren’t linked, it’s possible to be on different flights. Booking your flights directly or using a good travel agent usually resolve those issues.
