Review summary

My family truly enjoyed our first cruise. We are already thinking about where we might like to cruise next!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy for beginner cruisers

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Exceptional service and quality of food

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We didn’t have time to take advantage of nearly all the activities onboard that we wanted to. We maximized every minute onboard- shopping, swimming, using the hot tubs, kids played at the water park, my teenage son hung out at the “social” (teen) area, we ate, explored as much of the ship as we could, looked at the art, watched the ocean from the deck, and watched an outside movie.

Entertainment

I wish we could have checked out a stage show, but we really enjoyed our lengthy dinners and this overlapped the show times.

Children's Programs

They enjoyed it

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our dining staff were absolutely wonderful. I wish we could have cruised longer just to spend more time with them. The waiters were so kind to my children. It really warmed my heart.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Our stateroom staff was excellent and helpful!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I absolutely cannot believe how big our room was, and how very much space we had— and that this wasn’t even a suite! We had two full bedrooms, an entire living room, a walkway with closet, and a bathroom. There was also a sofa bed in the living room. We had FOUR VERY large porthole windows that looked out seemingly the entire front of the ship. Although I would love to try a room with a balcony one day, for a family of five, including two young kids, this was more than enough space, and quite comfortable for us. It was really much better than I expected!

Ship tip

I packed more than I needed to. Things I definitely used were a cruise-approved plug adapter, because there was literally one outlet for us in our stateroom. This is presumably typical. And we also made liberal use of a large capacity external battery pack (so it doesn’t need recharged often, and we could use this to recharge other devices).

We went on an airboat ride at Everglades Holiday Park. It was interesting and memorable, but disorganized.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Gorgeous and clean, very relaxing!

Nassau, Bahamas

Glass Bottom Boat Tour. I would recommend this!! I felt underwhelmed by the rest of Nassau and wish I had scheduled an additional excursion.

Disembarkation

We chose the “self” option, and it was fine. We just followed the instructions and were off the ship by 8am that morning.
