Review summary

Loved this itinerary! Did not care for the port in San Juan. The ship was nice, dining room was rarely open for lunch, this particular cruise seemed to be understaffed. The excursions were amazing and the islands are beautiful!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Lines were long, but friendly staff and moved quickly!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining room was really crowded, overall food was good, often arrived barely warm, sandwiches and snacks were pre-made so people with allergies were out of luck.

Café Promenade

3 out of 5

Long line-up and felt you had to ask permission for a second cookie, also many times they had sandwiches already made with cheese without any options to alter it. People with allergies were out of luck!

Sorrentos Pizza

5 out of 5

Catered to allergies! Pleasant staff, delicious food!

Service and Staff

Our room steward could be described as the “Meh” emoji never smiled and really seemed like he didn’t want to be there. All my past 7 cruises, I have had great room stewards this was new for me.

Ship tip

Very smoky near Casino, avoid smoking areas, comedy shows were excellent! Disembarkation was a disaster, lines bottlenecked and were very slow, I felt bad for people traveling with seniors or children! Standing for hours in hot sun!

Barbados is so beautiful!!! We went to Harrison’s cave, amazing experience going about a mile underground!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Shopped right at the port, amazing macaroon/ ice cream sandwiches! Yummy!

Disembarkation

Awful, hours trying to get off the ship, often no shade from the hot sun, there was an escalator but no room at the bottom to get off. Very stressed that someone would get hurt, especially children! We exited with our luggage, confusing lines and nobody around to ask. Hope they fix this problem. Worst disembarking ever!
